BBQ

To celebrate the Lantern Festival, some friends and I went to the east coast of Singapore to have a barbecue. It was my first time to have a BBQ in Singapore. It was also my first time to go to the east coast.
In Saturday, we should have a lecture about the faculties of science. After the lecture, going without saying, a rich buffet had been prepared for us. Considering that the BBQ would start soon, I had to eat less. It proved to be an advisable decision as I saw a lot of delicious food material as I got to the beach. Without any experience in barbecuing outdoors, I watched the seniors making a fire. I found it was a tough work requiring patience. The fire was no so easy to be made. After several minutes, the seniors were in a sweat before we grilled food but the efforts were rewarded. Then, we could grill food by ourselves. No wonder Singapore is a city with unpredictable weather, so it rained large drops suddenly. To avoid the fire being went out, we held four umbrellas around the barbeque. It was not comfortable job because of the choking smoke. We held the umbrellas alternately and had the delicious food which is barbecued by ourselves during the break.
Our good mood was hardly affected by the rain. We swam in the sea after the BBQ and amused near the beach. It was a really nice time in the festival.
