My happy birthday

Feb 14^th is a day for lovers as it is Valentine’s Day. At the same time, it is another day for me---my birthday. It was my first birthday since I came to Singapore. In china, I always had my birthday in winter holidays, but this time, I had to go to school in a foreign country. However, I was not alone and had much fun that day.

On Monday morning, I stepped into the classroom in a hurry because I was afraid of being late as I took the latest bus. Just at the moment, I suddenly heard ‘Happy Birthday’ and all the classmates were all smiling at me. I felt surprised and excited. Moreover, in the afternoon, I received many small letters wishing a happy birthday and better friendships from my classmates. I was so happy that I didn’t know what to say. I couldn’t help keeping thanking all my classmates.

To my great surprise, my parents took an ice-cream cake to my dormitory. They came here to celebrate my birthday on Feb 10^th. I called my friends together and shared the delicious cake together. While seeing everyone’s happiness on their faces, I was also surrounded by delight. Besides, my friends gave me a lot of lovely presents. I received many chocolates that day so that I even haven’t finished them until today.

A lot of celebrating SMSs and e-gifts on QQ delighted me much as well. My friends in China sent me e-gifts on QQ full of wishes which impressed me a lot---they still remember me after graduation. It was another surprise that Ms Sabrina, an officer of MOE and an alumna of NUS, sent me an SMS, saying ‘Happy birthday and happy Valentine’s Day’.

The same day of Valentine’s Day and my birthday gives me many different experiences and feelings. I wish all the people a better life and hope I can grow quickly into a successful man in NUS and Singapore, and have my new happy family…
