WHAT SHALL WE DO IN THE INFORMATION AGE ?

"It is snowing in most parts of China." "Rebellion took place in Egypt ." One cat was trapped in a chink." It seems that we know what's happening in every corner of the earth, if not outpace. But have you ever had asked ourselves that how much we know about ourselves?

Information processing and transmitting machines like televisions, radios and computers are selling everywhere and also are being used by almost everyone. All kinds of sounds, images and data about the changing world fully satisfy our curiosity. We take a large amount of useful or useless information into our mind. Maybe on most occasions we just can not get rid of the information because it intrudes our eyes and ears. Especially in the commercial society ,advertisements can been found everywhere, the internet included. Yes, we must admit that the Internet makes it incredible convenient for us to live, study and work . But when we spend hours and hours surfing the Internet ,absorbing information, referring to existing ideas, we may some day realize that we can not think independently any more. We lose ourselves in the world of information .We become a container restoring disordered and complex information.Our mind is saturated with information. We cannot spare room to restore something more valuable ,cannot spare even a little bit time to enjoy the silence, cannot just sit there, close our eyes and enjoy the sunshine because we are afraid something important is unknown. Anxious and hopeless, we are drinking saltwater, no enough but more.

Faced with this trouble,what shall we do? Slow down and do not rush around. This is what we should do . If we want to say that this is also what we can do, we must make ourselves believe one thing, that is ,there is always something unchanged and these unchanged things will take care of the world themselves. You are not the God, you don't need to be and you cannot be in one place at one time. You just need to stay in the center of your world.Take care of your own world, manage your own life, arm your brain with some permanent things, and simplify your life, then you may manage the world. Facing the information world, stay clear-headed, restrain greed and make a reasonable choice, but not jump into the information. At this time, we transform information but not simply take in it.It is about shaping our own thoughts rather than being shaped. So the way how we make the choice is essential to our life.
