Difference makes the world colorful
Someone said it is not real abroad if you stay in Singapore, which is not exactly.
Comparing with the land size and the population, China is both larger than Singapore. While in other aspects, such as climate and transportation, there’s also a huge difference between the two areas.However,as far as I’m concerned, the most distinguishing thing is culture.
You see, truly that the majority of people living here are Chinese. and you may hear in every corner of the street.what makes real difference is that Singapore is one of world’s most multicultural countries.there are other races such as Malay, Indian as well,and they all seem to live together peacefully and harmoniously in Singapore.
I got very impressed when I take the cultural tour on Dec 16th,the third day after I came to Singapore.when the bus going through the city,I saw a variety of temples and churches.besides,we explored the little india and luckily tasted all kinds of indian food.i especially love the dish of indian cake with the particular self-made flavor.Apart from that,I also tried the megical tattooing which only cost me one dollar. What’s more,we also went to visit a Moslem church from where I learned that you need to take off shoes before going inside.shorts and slippers are forbidden too.the last stop is china town.we all feel excited about seeing the familiar stuffs. Those who found their hometown cuisines were in higher spirits.
From then on,I even find that people who come across you in the street will smile at you softly. everyone seems so gentle and friendly.
After this interesting experience,I had a much deeper understanding of this country.it is not only a garden city with beautiful coast scenery,but also a big kind family welcoming any one all over the world.
